Born on March 30, 1966, in Târgu Mureș, Romania, Ozana Moraru initially excelled in mathematics and physics at the National College “Gheorghe Lazăr” in Bucharest, before choosing medicine as her profession. She completed her medical studies at the Faculty of Medicine, “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, graduating with a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1990. Soon after, she undertook residency training in ophthalmology at the Eye Clinic Hospital in Bucharest from 1991 to 1994.

Following her residency, Dr. Ozana Moraru pursued advanced surgical training through multiple international courses and training visits, with a strong focus on modern cataract surgery techniques, corneal surgery, and complex eye conditions. Her post-graduate training included clinical visits in leading European institutions to refine her surgical skills.


Professional Career and Surgical Practice

Since 1996, Dr. Ozana Moraru has served as an eye surgeon at Oculus Eye Clinic, a private ophthalmology center in Bucharest known for comprehensive surgical care, including cataract procedures, corneal transplantation, and complex anterior segment surgeries. She was appointed Medical Director of the clinic early in her tenure and has played a central role in shaping its clinical and surgical programs.
